Is Icarly Really In Seattle

Are we embarrassed by the fact that we love a show that's rated Y7 and airs on Nickelodeon?  Well, the main character Carly produces her own webcasts, is funny as hell, is possibly one of the coolest teenage characters currently on TV (she's played by Miranda Cosgrove, who's definitely one of the coolest teenagers currently on TV).  So no, actually, we're not embarrassed at all - we love iCarly!   Yeah, sure. Basically, she lives in Seattle, and she lives with her older brother ‘cause her dad’s in the military. They never mention her mom—don’t really know what’s going on there. Kids always ask me that and I’m like, "I don’t know!"  She lives with her brother and he’s kind of like a big kid in a way—I mean, he’s serious sometimes, but for the most part, he’s kind of like a big kid, and she’s sort of like his parent.  She also has two best friends with her who always come over to her apartment all of the time.   Basically, we’ve all grown up together and we all know each other really well. At this point, it’s like being with your family. And I’ve worked at the studio where we film for such a long time, I just feel like it’s my home. We improv a lot, and we get to put a lot [of our improvs] into [the show]. We know the writers really well, so if we don’t think a line is really funny or we’re not doing it right, we can ask for help. We all work together.   It’s weird because we all kind of grew up on the show, and there’s a whole love triangle thing between my character and my friends Sam [a girl] and Freddie [a boy].  It’s kind of funny, because we both had to kiss Nathan [Kress], who plays Freddie, and that’s just kind of weird for us because we’ve all known each other for so long... but there’s an episode called   That’s a cool question.
