2012 Arts In Education Funding — Art in the Adirondacks
For Schools Based in Saratoga & Washington Counties
The Arts In Education / Local Capacity Building (AIE/LCB) initiative is a statewide effort to provide local support for widespread participation in arts education. Saratoga Arts was invited by the New York State Council on the Arts (NYSCA) to administer grants in support of partnerships between schools and either teaching artists or cultural organizations that focus on the integrated study of the arts and non-arts subjects.
Grants of $500 – $3,000 are available for artist residencies in Saratoga & Washington County schools. These innovative artist residencies, in elementary, middle and high schools, are meant to further both the arts and non-arts curriculum by utilizing an art form to teach non-arts subjects. Artist and teacher use a co-teaching model to accomplish project goals and further student learning. Public and private schools (including parochial) may apply annually for AIE/LCB Grants. Are you affiliated with a school district in Saratoga or Washington County? Attend a AIE/LCB Grant Seminar and learn how to apply for funding for your school-based projects and programs!
Saratoga Arts is proud to administer this grant program and welcomes new applicants for funding. A representative from the lead applicant organization is required to attend a grant seminar. If you are unable to attend a seminar, individual appointments may also be arranged, including Saturday appointments.
