We are very fortunate in San Diego. We have a great climate, beaches and trails great for running, hiking and biking. Most cities do not have much open space so close. We do. We have trails 5 minutes from where you live from San Diego. Some are better than others, but again, we have them. Some of the best kept secrets are gorge trail Clairmont. Known as the Tri-Canyons, Tecolote Canyon Trail is a dream skate. The main canyon at the end of Seaworld Drive / Tecolote Rd. provides 80 to 10 miles of the road in a jeep, single track, rolling terrain and passages. If you want to link up with canyon’s 2 and 3 a short run on the street (oh no….not the street!) is necessary. Canyons 2 and 3 are roughly 2 miles long each and are all single track. There is also a 5K 10K here in June put on by dirtdevilracing.com. Dirt Devil Racing puts on lots of trail races around San Diego and features some spectacular trails. Check out their event page at www.dirtdevilracing.com
